Roopamala Saha (b. 1979) an ex-student of St. John’s Diocesan Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Kolkata, acquired both the Masters Degree and M. Phil. from the University of Calcutta in 2003 and 2006 respectively. Her M. Phil. Dissertation titled “Romanticism through Colours: A Study of Tennyson’s In Memoriam and Other Poems” is an interdisciplinary work on poetry and painting of the Romantic-Victorian era. At present she is pursuing her Ph.D. on Modern Drama at Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. She takes interest in Film Studies, Cultural Studies, Modern Literature and Paintings. She has presented papers in both International and National Seminars. She also has literary publications to her credit. literature, ecocriticism, animal studies, cultural studies and linguistics.
