Balai Chandra Das, born in 1970, earned his bachelor’s degree (1992) and master’s degree (1994) in Geography from the University of Burdwan and awarded Ph. D. degree in geography from the University of Calcutta. Dr. Das has published more than thirty research articles in journals /proceedings /edited volumes of national and international repute. Reviewed manuscripts of two International Earth Science Journal of Springer and Current Science in India. Performed duties as a member of Scientific Committee of IWC-2016, Oman. At present he is spending his days and hours with students, rivers and lakes.
