Asis Mistry, M.A. (Specialization in State Politics) is an Assistant Professor in political Science at Krishnagar Government College, Krishnagar, Nadia, West Bengal. He joined as an Assistant professor at Krishnagar Government College on August 08, 2014. He was a former Junier Research Fellow (U.G.C) at Rabindra Bharati University. His research interest is in the area of Ethnic Politics in South Asia. Now he is engaged in a research for his Ph.D. He is also the member of the West Bengal Political Science Association. He has taken the additional responsibility of the Assistant Coordinator at the study centre of Netaji Subhas Open University of this College.

Research Activities:

(I) Projects Completed/ Continuing: The Research for the Ph.D degree, “The Question of Ethnicity: Implication for the Process of Nation-building in Nepal (1990 to 2013)” is on progress.

1. “Dwitio Sanbidhan Parishader Nirbachaneo Nepale Anischayota Abyahato” published in a Bengali News Paper “Swabhumi on 09-12-2013.

2. “Inclusive Growth in India: Past, Present and Future” was presented in UGC Sponsored State Level Seminar held in S.R.L.Mahavidyalaya on 25th and 26th of November 2011 and accepted for publication in the upcoming issue of S.R.L. Mahavidyalaya Academic Journal “The Open Eyes”.

3. “The Dynamics of Power Shift in Nepal” presented and accepted for publication in the 14th Annual Conference of West Bengal Political Science Association held on 1st and 2nd December 2012.
